Strawberry Margarita combines fresh berries, aromatic reposado tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar for a touch of sweetness. Learn how to make it on the rocks or frozen. Serve it with a salt or sugar rim depending on your mood!
Wash strawberries and take off the stems if needed.
Combine all the ingredients in a blender or a food processor and blend until completely smooth.
Rub the rim of each glass with a slice of lime and dip it into margarita salt (or coarse salt, or sugar).
Add some ice to the glasses and pour in the margaritas.
For Frozen Strawberry Margaritas:
Note: this recipe makes almost twice the amount of frozen margaritas as it does rocks because of the blended ice.
All you have to do is add 4-5 cups of ice to the blender with all the other ingredients and pulse until everything is smooth.
Add salt to the rim of each margarita glass and pour in the frozen margaritas.
Notes
Using frozen strawberries: While fresh strawberries will give you the best, juicy, and bright flavor, you can definitely use frozen. Frozen strawberries will work especially well for frozen margarita, and you'll need to add much less ice to the blender. If you want to use frozen strawberries for the margarita on the rocks, make sure to thaw them first.
